I found out one of my proposals has been accepted to the UK AES Audio Education Conference this summer in Glasgow. I'm really delighted and look forward to attending. Next month, I have a presentation at the IASPM-Canada Conference on the 29th. I'll present a paper at the APME Conference in Miami this June and the ATMI Conference in November. If all goes as planned, that's six for the year. The goal is to take a couple of those projects, revise them, and submit to journals in the near future.
Although it's been a busy, productive semester, I'm actually looking forward to a short break and some creative work. I've decided to move forward with an ambient, soundscape project in which I capture natural sounds in a few selected locations around New England. I plan to share more about this in the near future. I hope to turn this soundscape project into some really interesting work. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile and will start simply with modest, portable equipment. Finally, I'm still waiting to hear back on some proposals and projects. Here's hoping for continued positive results. I remain grateful and focus on productivity, positivity and an "attitude of gratitude" as they say.
