I've updated the website to include some new research activity. This Friday, I'm presenting at the Association for Popular Music Education conference in Miami, FL. I wish I could attend for longer, but this will ultimately be a quick trip. That said, I'm looking forward to it and hope to hear some great talks. I've made my paper and presentation slides available on the website as well.
Two articles and a review are "officially" coming out. One will appear in the Journal of Music, Technology & Education, published by Intellect. I'm excited for that. It's in the final editing stages and will be available later this summer. The second article in Leonardo Music Journal, published by MIT Press, is in the copy editing stage right now. It will be out this summer too. Finally, I'm excited that a short review article will be coming out in the Journal of Radio and Audio Media, published by the Broadcasting Education Association, for their special November issue on podcasts.
After a short break, I'm going to start some sound gathering for the New England Soundscape Project. I have about four weeks to get some work done and look forward to traveling to some sites for fieldwork. I'm also going to catch up on a couple of music composition assignments. I'm studying privately and look forward to digging in some more.
I still have three articles under review and plan to have one or two more finished by the end of the summer. Here's hoping for continued progress in all areas. Above all, I also plan to have a little down time to recharge for the upcoming school year. It'll be here very soon. Thanks for stopping by.
